Saturday Art Program

The Saturday Art Program at DAAP is for children and adolescents from the Greater Cincinnati community. Saturday Art integrates the act of making meaning with the world in which we live and embraces a diversity of ages, aptitudes, age-related developmental levels, and social cultural perspectives.

Art inquiry is taught by UC DAAP students preparing for Visual Arts Education licensure in the State of Ohio and supervised by professors of Arts Education. During Saturday Art, students engage in exploration, inquiry and investigation of materials, themes, historical influences, contemporary art practices, and interpretation.

Spring Saturday Art 2021 registration is coming soon for grades K-12.

Dr. Katherine Smith at smith4kk@ucmail.uc.edu

*Please include parent's contact information

The letter should address the participant’s interest level in visual art and the reasons that a community based art program would enhance his or her education. Parents or guardians of participants are also asked to write a brief statement of why their child should be considered for a scholarship. All scholarship requests are due by February 1, 2021.

Parents should refrain from registering until they have received notice that their child has been granted a scholarship.  A discount code for registration will be issued upon notification.

Saturday Art Program Parent Handbook - A source for parents to follow with COVID protocols, drop off, dress code, classroom rules, etc.
