DAAP Scholarships

Thanks to the generosity of numerous alumni and friends of the college, scholarships are available to students in the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning.


The following DAAP scholarships have an online application process. With one application you can apply for all college-wide scholarships. Students should submit FAFSA information to UC if one of the eligibility requirements of the scholarship is financial need. These scholarships are available to students currently enrolled at DAAP; incoming freshman or transfer students are not eligible.

The 2020-2021 DAAP college-wide and school specific scholarship application is closed. The scholarship application will be available again in spring 2021 for the 2021-2022 academic year. 

DAAP Scholarships

Sponsored by the DAAP Alumni Association, this scholarship is available to students enrolled full-time in DAAP programs.

The purpose of this gift is to provide a college-wide scholarship to students who are enrolled in the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning.

This scholarship was established to benefit a full-time undergraduate DAAP student who is an established resident of Ohio.

Established in honor of Ms. Vashti Swan on the occasion of her retirement as DAAP's Coordinator of Promotions and Marketing, this fund provides scholarships for a minority freshman or sophomore in DAAP in good academic standing (2.5 or better) and qualifying for financial need.

The purpose of this gift is to provide a college-wide scholarship to students with financial need at the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning.

The fund will be used to provide scholarship support to a deserving graduate student enrolled at DAAP. This award will rotate annually among the four schools.

Several scholarships are available to DAAP undergraduate students who are sophomore level and above. Qualified applicants will have demonstrated academic ability, with a 3.0 or higher cumulative average, and financial need.

Macy's, Inc., has made scholarships available to undergraduate students enrolled in  Fashion Design, Communication Design, and Interior Design. These funds have been given to encourage students to consider retail design careers.

The Phyllis C. Finch Fund was established to provide scholarship support for DAAP students.

Established by the estate of Thomas B. Persons, this scholarship supports students studying full-time in DAAP.

This fund was established through the estate of William McMaster dating back to the late 1800's.

This scholarship fund was established to provide three scholarship each year to full-time DAAP students in the School of Architecture and Interior Design and in the School of Design.

All recipients must be at least a sophomore and maintain a GPA of 3.2.

At least one of the awards will be given to a student who has a diverse background, based upon factors, including, but not limited to, socio-economic status, parental education, cultural awareness, and history of overcoming adversity.

This fellowship is to support a graduate student studying in environmental design towards a part of their degree in Masters of Science, Masters of Design, or Masters of Community Planning.

A scholarship has been created in honor of Bob Clark , who generously advised the donor as she established a business designed to benefit America's Wildland Firefighters.

The donor wishes to acknowledge Mr. Clark's contribution by making this award available to a student in DAAP, from which his son graduated.

Students in the third or pre-junior year of programs in the School of Design and School of Art are eligible for this award.

To be considered, students must be in good standing and have demonstrated financial need.
